It's been about 6 weeks since this itch began in the back of my head urging me to write a book. I love to read fantasy and especially good clean youth fiction. You can never have enough of that stuff. When a good writer puts his talents on the line so that people like me can enjoy them unabated, God bless them. On the other hand, if you are a writer that has left a trail of dirt and muck in your stories as if that were the reason we picked your book up, you're wrong. You are just noise in this world of already clamoring, useless authors. Do I make myself clear?
Back to the point...this itch has been slowly growing and wreaking havoc on my school concentration. However, with the help of my big brother and other writing resources which will be discussed hereafter, I have created my own little writing sanctuary.
If I were to identify my major problem as a very amateur writer I would say it is the lack of writing experience. After attempting to point the finger of blame in every which way, it finally landed right back on me. I've heard it said that great ideas are a dime a dozen but putting those ideas into plots and story lines are few and far between. It must be true because I am writing ideas for "good" stories all day long but actually putting them into a story has yet to happen.
Which brings us back to the itch in my skull which I've only begun to scratch.
